    Mismatched code number.
    Test strip is expired.

    Solution

    Before testing, verify that the code number on the device matches the one printed on the test strip container.
    Check the expiration date of the test strip.
    Ensure the test strips were stored within the recommended temperature range.
    Check for foreign substances on the measurement area of the device.
